New Era’s Eve

Experity

Experience Outline

Practice Velocity set out to announce a corporate merger and reveal their new name, Experity, with a vibrant party. New Era’s Eve was a party for Urgent Care Association conference attendees to mingle and discover the new brand. The event featured live entertainment, strolling characters, roaming photobooths, custom cocktails, food stations, and a choreographed mirror ball drop to complete the visual of the new logo. Did we mention pyro? Can’t have a brand launch without pyro.

Technical Direction

Technical direction of audio/visual team, confirming equipment met the event needs, getting special permissions from the venue to make the vision come to life, and show calling the evening of the event.

Production Management

Ensuring that all technicians and labor worked efficiently and timely. The load-in was well below the standard 4-hour call.

The
Challenge

Timing and Logistics Complexity

The company’s CEO requested that his team throw the biggest party the Urgent Care Association attendees had ever seen.

We had to make the CEO’s dream come to life (which included a larger-than-life disco ball that was dropped from the ceiling as part of a countdown/logo reveal) in an unrealistic time crunch, without missing a beat.

What’s the Spark?

The Big Blue Point of View

It was imperative that we had a plan for each piece of gear that was moving into the event space — what was being handled first, what hands were where, etc. Having a micro-detailed plan allowed us to efficiently load into the space, quickly rehearse, and get the doors opened for guests. Everything went as planned, which led to a fun night for everyone.

The
Outcome

Creating a Spark

The atmosphere was electric, guests were buzzing, and the CEO left excited to share the new brand with others.

Internally, the entire event crew was elated to pull this event together without a (noticeable) hiccup!

From the Client Team

What Our Partner Has to Say

As an announcement of our company merger, my CEO requested we throw the biggest party the Urgent Care Association attendees had ever seen. The Big Blue Spark team was hired for the technical direction of my event but went above and beyond to make it “perfect” (my CEO actually said that word, which is a HUGE deal!) Not only will Kris and Kevin provide all the knowledge and skills needed to make your events memorable, but at the end of the day, you will find you have connected with two amazing people that you now consider your friends.
